Meeting Design Course Level 3
Barcelona, Spain
29 Oct 2021 – 30 Oct 2021
29 Oct 2021 – 30 Oct 2021
You will learn about the building blocks Meeting Designers use when designing meeting programmes.
Meetings can have a huge impact on the success of an organizations’ strategy. Done poorly, they can ruin the future. Done well, they can change things pretty drastically.
Meeting Design is a relatively new profession. We see Meeting Designers as professionals who work with meetings as a specific means of communication.
Their task is to bring content, objectives and participants’ expectations together, designing a programme that is effective, engaging and conducive towards the organizational objectives.
They work for the Meeting Owner and often partner up with PCO’s, AV Companies, Speakers and Facilitators. Their final consumers are the meeting participants.
Their clients’ desires are the design compass by which they sail.
Details
In this course, the Level 3 of Meeting Design, you start making a distinction between meetings that are just a ritual, meetings that are operational, tactical meetings and, of course, strategic meetings.
You’ll discover how different they are from a design perspective, and what goes wrong if you, for instance, have an operational program, for a strategic meeting.
From there you start working on the analysis of what we call The Working. The Working expresses what the meeting should do for your strategy. You will conclude that Different Workings give different meeting programs.
From there, we get into the 7 things a Designer of Strategic Meetings should take into account. As an essential thing to do at the end, you conclude what your personal next step is in developing Strategic Meeting Design skills.

It was fascinating to attend the Meeting Design Course, Level 1 in Dubai in October 2019. The course was incredibly inspiring and eye-opening. It was very hands-on and practical, while providing a thorough introduction to meeting design. Eric de Groot is a fantastic course instructor. He ensured everyone was involved and engaged through-out the course, and he created an environment in which everyone was comfortable sharing insights and knowledge.Steen JakobsenAssistant Vice President of Dubai Tourism
The Meeting Design Course, Level 1 was the perfect mix of theory and practice with quite challenging group exercises in real world scenarios which really had an impact on the way we will approach events in future. With Mike we had a very experienced expert and mind-set changer and learned a lot about maximizing meeting effectiveness by better activating the bodies and souls who are present.Head of MeetingsGermany
As expected the course was inspiring and refreshing. Lots of input and exercises to stimulate our brains and think out of the box. And both Eric and Mike are very good trainers. I really enjoyed it, and the group was fun, too!Corporate Meeting PlannerAustria

The Meeting Design Course, Level 1 is a strong and deep experience! Now I have got new sharp tools to deal with projects, both when designing events form the start and when it comes to give a little powerful tweak to a meeting already structured. Thanks Eric!Marketing DirectorItaly
